Why Private School? Government school will not teach my child about their Creator and how to apply His Word to everyday living. These decisions the child will need to make as they go through life. It’s critical the child gets a holy foundational belief system crafted.

Do you use Christian textbooks? We use a variety of textbooks and supplementary resources from both Christian and non-christian publishers. Textbooks are carefully evaluated and chosen based on how well they meet the learning objectives of that class and the overall educational goals of the school.

How much is tuition? The cost of tuition should be measured up against other private and Christian schools to promote relational value. List other local & regional Christian schools tuitions and put TSCS against those – not Catholic schools as they’re pseudo Christian schools. The listing of school tuition and fees is listed on our website under the tuition tab.

What’s the difference between your Christian school and the local parochial schools? Initially this can be confusing as parochial schools can include many religious activities, which support Biblical/Christian principles. TSCS is a non-denominational school that is significantly different as we educate students from a biblical worldview for lifelong learning and Chrsitian character. Most parochial schools teach their religious affiliated doctrines and incorporate a concerning blend of governmental school ideas and programs.

How is your school’s instruction different from the public school? The difference is astounding and significant: We declare God as Creator, Jesus as Savior and the Holy Spirit as Comforter (insert some declarative Word doc here). Therefore, each student at TSCS is encouraged and mentored by every teacher and staff person to become all that God has intended for them to become. We work closely with the parent(s) in all aspects of the child’s development – spiritual, emotional and educational. We believe it is firstly the parent’s responsibility to raise their child. At Tri-State, we educate each child from a Biblical worldview with excellence. We support each family’s choice of church affiliation and defer all doctrinal questions specific to that faith back to the parent for clarification. At Tri-State Christian School we teach from a Biblical Worldview. We believe that “all truth is God’s” truth and so we teach through the “lens” of God’s Word. We offer a biblically integrated, traditional curriculumn.

Is Christian education worth the money? While we understand Christian education is not the cheapest form of education, it’s certainly the best. The real issue, which has nothing to do with dollars & cents, is the stewardship of what will be crafted into the child by the educational system, the church and their parents before the child comes to the age of accountability.

Why does TSCS offer Latin? Latin instruction provides a good “workout” for the brain and strengthens cognitive functioning. Studies show that students who study Latin do better on standardized tests than those who have had no Latin instruction. Studying Latin improves a student’s understanding of English grammar and vocabulary. Latin is also the foundation of all the romantic languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian and Romanian so students who know Latin are better prepared to learn any of those languages.
